Question : What do you do when your white blood cell count is low due to a medication?
Brief Answer:
Stop the offending drug.
Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
If you have leucopenia then first you have to search the cause whether it is due to medication or other cause like infection.
You have to identify the drug that causes leucopenia. Then you should stop the offending drug.
If leucopenia is severe then G-CSF can be given.
This is overall general information.
Please send me your clinical history and Dr drug history as well as your reports. So that I can help you further.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
