Brief Answer:
Babies like variety

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.

Growing up babies like variety of food and through this variety they get much needed nutrition. Provide variety like XXXXXXX idli, cake/pastry, cookies and other home made foods. Parents chose the food, babies chose whether to eat or not and how much to eat.

Forcing food can make babies to revolt and then they will not accept any food.

Since it is short term issue, it can be managed skillfully.
Keep a track of his weight. It should not go down the lines on weight for age graph by WHO (available on internet).
Also get him checked for any nutritional deficiencies by getting blood test done for complete blood count, liver function test, vitamin B12 levels, Calcium and vitamin D levels.
Medicines are not needed for this issue.

Let me know if I can assist you further.
