Brief Answer:
Reassurance is the key.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I would need to know more about the problem. If you are talking about mere incontinence arising suddenly, I would let you know that all you need to do is to reassure the child. Reassure the child that things are fine and that it is just an isolated event and he can get over it. If you seem it sound more alarming, the resultant stress will only make things worse.

About his autism, it is an ongoing condition which requires your supportive attitude in order to help him deal with his discrepancies.

Do not panic. Wait and observe. If the episode of incontinence keeps recurring, a clinical examination would be needed in order to evaluate if there is an underlying problem.

More specific we are more concerned about his habit of daily passing urine at night in bed around 2 AM . He understand that he should not do so but can not help himself. He is quite intelligent in other activities but here he is miserable. Although we always ensure that he must urinate before going to sleep and does not take more fluides at the time of sleeping. Please send your comments on this problem of this age kids , precautions and treatment for this decease. Looking forward to hear from you. Thanks XXXXXXX XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Bed wetting alarms can be effective.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for clarifying. As mentioned earlier, the primary thing to do is to reassure. You may use bed wetting alarms. The passage of urine gets halted midway as soon as the alarm sounds and that helps not only in increasing the awareness but also the control over the bladder. Also restrict the water and fluid intake before going to bed although you have already confirmed on the same.
