Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have nocturnal frequency for urination .

2) Have you done any tests to find out the cause for your symptoms ?

Nocturia at the age of 74 years age is mostly de to Enlarged Prostate and needs to be confirmed .

You need to consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine Routine & Microscpoy and Culture & Sensitivity Examination.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
