Brief Answer:
Allergic rhinitis or Nasal Polyps

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

I think your son has allergic rhinitis with the clear description that you gave. It is better to get this confirmed by an allergist who can conduct sensitivity tests.
If there is allergy the boy gets less immune and his ability to fight infections reduces. This helps the bacteria and fungus grow in the nose.
I also suggest to get an ENT evaluation to check for septal deformities, especially polyps which care very common in allergic. Nasal secretions smear for IgE is done to confirm the same.
For now you avoid the above foods. Also the findings are clear for the doctor if you take the boy immediately to him and not when there are no allergic signs.
Generally all antihistamine tablets like cetrizine / Levocetrizine help and the above conditions are easily treatable.

So your boy needs ENT exam first asap and later allergist examination.
