Brief Answer:
Not looking infected

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcare magic

I have reviewed the attached photograph and can appreciate the cut but it's not looking infected.

In such cases I recommend my patients to apply topical antibiotic like mupirocin cream or neosporin ointment on the affected area twice daily for 5-7 days.

For pain I recommend them to take diclofenac or ibuprofen.

Regards
Dr Asmeet

Thank you. Some follow-up questions:
1) I started using Fucidin cream on it. Is that ok?
2) Is it normal to feel some pain from a paper cut that is not infected?
3) What should I look for as signs of infection?
4) Should I keep a bandage on it?

Brief Answer:
Yes continue with fucidin cream. It is fine.

Detailed Answer:
Yes continue with fucidin cream. It is fine.
Normally a paper cut doesn't cause prolonged pain if it is not infected but again threshold of pain varies from person to person.
In infected cut there will be swelling, redness, oozing, pus discharge, tenderness, pain and increased temperature. Few or all signs may be present in case of infection.
No need to keep a bandage over it. Keep it open.

So can you be pretty certain it is not infected based on appearance alone?
