Question : My son got elbowed at hip area at soccer game, which is swollen and it hurts. Should I take him to hospital?
Brief Answer:
Yes, you should take him to hospital.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
Yes, it would be good to have it checked. X-ray and soft tissues ultrasound should be done to rule out possible fracture(less possible) and very possible hematoma. Hematoma, if left alone can lead to abscess and infection.
So if its possible, just as a precaution, take him to a hospital for mentioned tests.
Hope this helps.
Regards.
