Hello XXXXXXX
You have not given many details regarding your daughter`s cough.I would like to know:
How old is your daughter?
Are there any allergies? Like is she uncomfortable in dust and smoke?
Is there any wheez ie breathing difficulty? Has there been any fever or weight loss
Has an xray chest been done?
In my opinion it could be allergic cough but first do answer these questions and I will be glad to reply to your query.

Hi, She is 5 years old & don't have any allergies. she doesn't feel comfortable for dust and smoke. There is no breathing issues , no fever & weight loss. chest x ray done and almost told to be OK. Pediatrician has given the treatment saying asthma. last week he told to consult a pulmonologist. pls. advise further action.
Brief Answer:
She is suffering from cough variant asthma.
Detailed Answer:
Yes this is what I was suspecting. Sometimes asthma may manifest as dry cough. This condition is called cough variant asthma.
I'm sure she must have been given montair lc mid tablet which she should continue. If the cough is very disturbing give her a short course of oral steroids like omnacortil syrup 5ml once a day for t to 7 days. Also start her on seroflo woo inhaler of which 2 puffs to be given twice a day. It can be given through a device called spacer. She should rinse her mouth after taking the inhaler.
Once full control is achieved the inhaler can be tapered off gradually. This may take some time.Avoid dust, smoke and junk food for her.
I'm sure she will be fine soon.
