Question: I have started walking several weeks ago and have now been been walking 6-10 miles a day and noticed a week ago some petechiae on my shin. Today I noticed a couple other places on my calf. Should I stop walking for a bit?

Brief Answer:
few things to consider..

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXX, Welcome to HCM,
I've gone through your query and understand your concern,

Now please note since petechiae are erupting after walking such long distance, you can certainly stop it for the time being..

But it's also advisable for you to please get few basic investigations done to rule out any underlying significant pathology i.e. Hemogram, peripheral blood smear, ESR, Coagulation profile , Serum Calcium and LFT. If everything's within normal range then a quick local examination of the area to be done to rule out any local infective causes (skin infection primarily as well as any venous insufficiency)..

Please discuss with your primary doctor about them and get them done..

Let me know if there's any further queries..

Take Care
Kind Regards
