Brief Answer:
It is just a simple "Folliculitis". Not herpes.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome and thanks for posting your query to the forum.

I can understand your concern for the eruption over the lip. After analysis of the picture let me reassure you first that the eruption is not related to herpes.

It is just a simple "Folliculitis": To tell you simply- It is an inflammation or infection of the hair root with oil gland at the affected area. As we know that our face area have lot of oil glands so there is a chance of infection at this area.
It can further be aggravated by repeated touching over this area. It is generally painful to begin with or have a feeling of discomfort. It generally begins as reddish dot which gets yellowish later.

In your cases I suggest to apply an antibacterial cream such as Mupirocin or fucidin. An anti inflammatory drug such as paracetamol or Ibuprofen could be taken for one to two times.

Do not try to touch or pinch the area as can get further infected.

I reassure you again that it is not related to herpes.

I hope this information will help you.

"Wish you good health"
