Suggest Remedies For Rashes On The Fingers
Question: I have rashes on both hands in between each finger and really bad on one finger on my left had. This been an issue for almost a month - I think it is getting better and then comes back worse than before. Started treating with diaper rash cream and covering with bandaids - seems to be a little better, but won't go away or stop burning. Should I see my PCP?

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query.
Probably you have developed intertrigo.
It's a mixed bacterial and fungal infection.
It needs treatment with both antibiotics as well as antifungal cream.
A combination of ointment mupirocine to be applied in night and ointment clotrimazole to be applied in morning works well.
You can try this.
If possible upload a photograph of the involved area.
This will help me in giving a closer diagnosis.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you.
