Question : My husband has a raw red area crease of his leg near his scrotum..its reoccurring...what medicine can he use

Based on the history you have shared, it can be due to intertrigo or local fungal infection like tinea. Though an assessment by his GP atleast if not a dermatologist should be made to rule out certain closely possible skin infections like dermatitis or psoriasis. The possibility of fungal infections is quite high because of excessive sweating or pressure effects leading to dampness which promotes fungal growths. Keeping the area dry manually or by using adsrobants alongwith topical anti fungal like meconazole or oral ones like itraconazole may help. Using anti histamines like cetrizine can help for itching while OTC analgesics like acetaminophen may help with the pain. Wishing him a quick recovery.
