                                    Brief Answer:
Impetigo
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you.
I am Dr. kakkar(Dermatologist). I have noted your concern.
I have viewed the image. Seems like bacterial impetigo. I can make out crusted lesions, which is perhaps dried discharge on a background of erythema. Impetigo is commonly staphylococcus in origin though streptococci may also cause impetigo.
I suggest an oral antibiotic e.g Amoxicillin and Clavulanic acid combination(a penicillin) Or Cefadroxil (a Cephalosporin) Or Cephalexin (also a Cephalosporin) for week.
Topically you may use either mupirocin or fusidic acid ointment.
These are prescription antibiotics and i suggest that you talk to your general practitioner for a prescription regarding the same.
Regards

She was prescribed penicillin but it had no change and she has currently been given a cortisone cream but it doesn’t appear to have any affect either
