Suggest Remedies For Severe Cramping In Lower Legs

Question: Yes I am having severe cramping in the lower part of my legs front and back Usually it takes almost an hour for any relief. When I get it my foot will actually go straight or to the side and I am having trouble finding anything that helps I have tried ice and heat. The pain is much worse than a XXXXXXX horse cramp is. Any suggestions?

I am so sorry to hear about these cramps that you have reported. I have reviewed your information fully and this is suggestive of a possible low levels of calcium and/or magnesium in the blood. I will like that you get these measured and corrected accordingly. Should these be fine, then I will go further to evaluate a the blood supply to the legs by way of a doppler ultrasound. Management would be tailored to address the underlying problem identified.
