An X Ray of the cervical spine (AP and lateral) would help in diagnosing it. The next possibility is vertigo due to problems related to the inner ear or cerebellum. If that is the case, vestibulocochlear stabilizing agents like cinnarizine or betahistine (prescription medicines) should provide relief. The third possibility is cardiac problems where the heart is not able to pump blood adequately to the brain. You therefore need a thorough clinical examination. Treatment will depend upon the underlying cause. As of now drink plenty of water and fluids
