Suggest Remedies For Severe Pain Between The Thighs And ITB

Posted on Fri, 20 May 2016
Question: I have pain between thigh and ITB. I noticed this a couple of weeks ago and reinjured this weekend. I am running this coming weekend at an Agility trial. I am taking turmeric (2x) and Alieve (2X) a day along with the foam roller. It is extremely sensitive in that area when I use roller. When I run it seems to instantly flare up and it is hard to perform. Is there anything I can do to help ease the pain?

Brief Answer:
Hot compress and local analgesic gel can help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The repeated injury in the same area can cause a small hematoma or a muscle spasm in the area. Doing a hot compress can help ease the pain. In case the pain is persistent do get an oral muscle relaxant prescribed by your physician.
I hope this answers your query.
