Question : same question again but I want another opinion from another skin specialist.
dear doctors, I swam in the swimming pool today & just after spending an hour in the pool, my skin has become dark. face, back, forearms, neck (both front & back) has become dark. why did this happen & what can be done to get the fair complexion?
also, what should I do next time before entering the pool to avoid darkening of skin ?

                                    Brief Answer:
Use sunscreen
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
This type of darkening of skin is called as immediate pigmentary darkening.
It is caused due to ultra violet rays in sunlight.
No treatment is required.
Skin will recover within 15 days.
To prevent further darkening you must apply a good water resistant sunscreen with spf 50.
Suncross aquagel is a good option.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you.
