Yes , stuffy nose can cause cough and scratchy throat due to post nasal drip (PND) .

If I were your treating Doctor for this case , I would advice
Saline nasal rinse or spray thrice daily ,
salt water gargles twice daily ,
antihistaminic Tab Claritin (Loratadine 10mg) at night &
Tab Paracetamol thrice daily .

You will get relief .
