Brief Answer:
There are two possibilities - temper tantrums and neoplasm

Detailed Answer:
Hi...there are two possibilities...

1. Temper tantrums
2. Extremely rare but still possible is a neoplasm of the brain or tumour.

Will explain both.

Tantrums may happen when kids are tired, hungry, or uncomfortable; or because they can't get something (for example, an object or a parent) to do what they want. Learning to deal with frustration is a skill that children gain over time.

Tantrums are common during the second year of life, a time when language skills are starting to develop. Because toddlers can't yet say what they want, feel, or need, a frustrating experience may cause a tantrum. As language skills improve, tantrums tend to decrease.

This is what you can do to avoid or prevent tantrums -
1. Give plenty of positive attention
2. Try to give toddlers some control over little things
3. Keep off-limits objects out of sight and out of reach
4. Distract your child
5. Help kids learn new skills and succeed
6. Consider the request carefully when your child wants something
7. Know your child's limits

The other possibility is tumour... which requires a neuroimaging or MRI brain. Though extremely rare in your case, still it needs to be ruled out as you have observed a behavioral changes off late which is an initial marker of frontal lobe tumour.

Regarding the temper, he is 6 years old, not a toddler. His left eye has always been droopy and they water a lot

Brief Answer:
I agree he is not a toddler...I was trying to explain about tantrums

Detailed Answer:
Hi...I agree he is not a toddler...I was trying to explain about tantrums. Though tantrums are more common in the age group of toddlers, it can manifest at any age.

Regarding droopy eye lid on the left - is it a recent development of has it been like that since birth?

I had asked a few other questions - please get back with answers -

1. Is there any family history of migraine
2. Is there any weakness of any of the Limbs
3. Are there any seizures
4. Any recently observed incessant vomiting

Hello again. There is no family history of migraines, no weekness of limbs or seizures and no vomiting. The droopy eye has been since birth.

Brief Answer:
Looks like a habit disorder/ behavioral issues

Detailed Answer:
Hi....thanks for the reply and answers.

I do not think this is an organic problem. I feel it is more of habit disorder or A behavioral issue.

Try ignoring the symptom for a week or two. If still he's complaining then get him physically evaluated by a pediatrician.
