Question : I threw up and now feels like something stuck in my throat and hurts too swallow. Why? Am I good?
Brief Answer:
You are good!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks so much for this query.
Pain after vomiting especially forcefully often leads to after pain. This is caused by increased strain on the muscles during the vomiting episode to push the stomach content to the outside. This will regress eventually and really requires no treatment.
Feeling something is stuck isn’t a worry because a food particle could temporarily sit in the throat. If you can drink, sip water repeatedly and all will be fine. There is no reason to seek a medical consultation at this time unless something else sets in.
I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me. If you need more details and clarifications, feel free to follow up with me.
