Brief Answer:
Yes, rope skipping will be a good and safe.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to health care magic,

Your BMI (30.5) which is high (overweight) according to your height and weight given by you. A woman is likely expected to gain after pregnancy.

Yes, rope skipping will be a good and safe exercise for you.

Since you had C-Section delivery 1 year back, any problem due to skipping is NOT expected here.So no need to worry about it.

Initially you should start it for about 5 to 10 minutes, which can be slowly increased up to 20 or 30 minutes.

Also,go for regular cardio exercises like brisk walking, jogging in morning or tread mill (can be done at home) for about 30 minutes which is considered ideal for weight loss and to loose extra fats.

You may also start with 15 minutes initially and gradually add 5 to 10 minutes every day to reach 30 minutes.

To lose extra body fat, you should also be careful with your diet.Expend more calories through regular exercises and eat fewer calories.

When it will be done consistently, you'll end up with a daily caloric deficit and may reduce weight 2 to 4 kg every month with reduction of extra fats.

For that, I am sure you can find a good diet plan from a nutritionist.

Also,do NOT forget to take your thyroid medications regularly and check your thyroid hormones periodically as directed by your doctor.

Hope this detailed information will be helpful.Let me know if you have more doubts.
