Brief Answer:
Norvasc is a good choice

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome and thanks for the query.
This is not unusual for ACEI and ARB group of medicines.
If you are comfortable with Norvasc, it can be taken on a regular basis to control your blood pressure. You may develop of a little edema around the ankles. Don't worry about it, it is a well recognized and innocuous side effect.
There is no interaction with Metformin.
