Suggest Remedies To Prevent Lung Diseases In A COPD Patient

Question: I am having issues sending you a question

I am waiting for an account to open up but I need to ask a question so this is not one off my account unlimited.

I used the day yesterday to go on a couple 1 mile walks. Each time I I noticed a hard time breathing

So after the walk I considered a thought from the walk. How does a pft test make adjustments for active and being inactive. I take the test when inactive but when I'm active I breathe harder so how does it correct

If you get two questions, it is because I have had issues getting a question to you

My mother in law is undergoing treatment for Breast Cancer and has been having hard time with Chemo. In her tests, they indicated COPD or Asthma Lung problems. She has been looking through information on it and sent me a couple articles from the Mayo Hospital and from Web MD talking of quitting smoking, what to expect if you quit early before the symptoms show up. Quite interesting.

Oh, I am going to the psychiatrist this morning and later I will talk to pulmonologist about the flovent and its effectiveness or lack of effectiveness

Brief Answer:
Early smoking cessation is best to prevent future lung diseases.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.

I can understand your concern.
I think you are asking about PFT changes on exercise. Am I right?
Exercise induced asthma can cause normal PFT at rest and abnormal PFT on exertion.
So if you really think about abnormality then get done PFT on exertion.
Early smoking cessation is best to prevent future development of lung diseases.
So if patient stops smoking before development of symptoms then there is less possibility of development of lung diseases in him or her.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.

Again this program dropped my text
Yesterday was rough. Didn't feel good
Had a psychiatrist appt we talked over our allowed time.
Returned to work and was late. Got reprimanded
Psych put me back on Lexapro and changed the Xanax to a new benzo.
She did not speak of pulmonary issues but focused on continued stress and sleep deprivation.

Got back to irk and had a conversation with boss on many subjects. One of those cut deep but true b since I have been focused on leaving for a new job. I have let my performance drop It seems I dropped too much and it's now seen and questioned. I can do a quality job duties but lately I haven't and now the pressure is on and they ask if I really am capable of doing my job.

Well with my XXXXXXX and stress and motivation gone it looks like I am nothing but a failure. I have a upcoming meeting with the ceo to discuss the project and the problems I caused. I am glad I am prepared for a termination because I thinki To coming and I have to admit I caused some of it.

Wait wait.
This is unusual. Are you deliberately forcing your boss to terminate you?
Is this true?
And was previous thread closed?

No and NO,

No, I am not forcing the boss to terminate me, I am preparing to accept my fate when I tell him of the monetary figure that I cost the company trying to fix a account balance and caused a penalty for being late. I just think he will say that it is an ongoing affair with no good in sight so we will let you go.
I can accept that.

The other thread dropped my texts twice and the time it took to type them out was too long so I went to this and will check the other thread later.

The day was miserable because I started off feeling hard to breath then I have the project that Kees runner nag into a snag. Then the boss questions my accuracy on this work. Then the more I get tired of all this the rest of my work performance lessens and the boss notices it. I know she is now questioning my ability.

That triggers more stress and more problems breathing.

I've looked at all the evidence of my PFTs after talking with others in a support group with similar issues. Nobody has levels that I do. They are much worse. So I have decided that the results at this time don't show true emphysema so I have to go with asthma/airway inflammation and constriction

So you job is to give me thoughts that support the inflammation, why and how it's tied in with my current situation and that the airways should open up so I can take a full breath soon

I can understand your concern.
I feel sorry about your symptoms.
And more sorry that I am not helping you.
Solution for all your symptoms is to avoid stress, anxiety and panic.
I know this is very simple to say and extremely hard to achieve but I know you can do this.
And this is the reason you are asking so much and I am answering so much because I know you will definitely come out of all these.
Are you more depressed? I am asking this because you are sounding so.

If you say being sick of going to work more each day knowing it's not what you like and that you can't wait to get home and escape everything by going to sleep. Then yes. I am depressed I'm tired of breathing this way.
