Suggest Remedy For Abdominal Discomfort After Laproscopy

default
Posted on Tue, 11 Aug 2015
Question: Hi,

I'm a week post op (tubal via laposcropy so?). I've have a lot of discomfort in my belly (doc said its 'probably' ok) with a bruise around my belly button that has a bruise which keeps going from the healing yellow/green color back to purple. I've also been nauseated and dizzy. I'm on meds for the nausea, but today I'm freezing, super dizzy, shaking and my vision is blurry. Any ideas what might be going on?

Thanks

Brief Answer:
What is your temperature and blood pressure?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about these symptoms that you have reported. Though unlikely that this is an infection, I will like to know what your temperature has been today. This way, I will assess whether this raises the fear of an infection or not. Also, how has your urination been? any cough

Nausea after surgery is fairly common. However, we need to evaluate every other possible cause, especially infections and rule them out before settling on managing just the nausea.

Let me hear from you and will respond promptly to help figure out the cause and make helpful recommendations.

Brief Answer:
Your temperature is good!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Your temperature is good and doesn’t suggest any possible infection at this time. I will recommend you make efforts to eat and drink enough. This way, dizziness, blurry vision and fatigue which may be suggestive of dehydration will be addressed properly.

Keep me updated with your progress.
