Question : I had total right hip replacement 3 days ago. IN I'm trying to go to the toilet but only urine comes out. They gave me stool softener and a small cup of laxative but nothing yet. Should I eat some prunes or raisin XXXXXXX cereal.

Some amount of swelling is expected but if the swelling has increased or painfur or if you have fever I would advice you visit your orthopaedic surgeon and get a physical examination to look for infection or blood clots in veins
