Question : my daughter (age 10 months) was on the floor and broke a small ceramic dish. When i looked she had a large piece of it in her mouth. i quickly removed it but could not find a missing piece. i'm afraid she swallowed it. What do I need to do?

Brief Answer:
wait and watch

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for the query.

If the piece is small (coin size) it will come down through the digestive tract.
You may confirm whether child has swallowed it or not by X -ray abdomen standing.
Seek medical help if there is any problem like bleeding from mouth or anus.
Give banana to eat , which help to throw out the foreign particle if swallowed.

Hope, I answered your query.

Regards,
