Brief Answer:
He may be addicted indeed.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
Tylex (which contains Codeine) can be addictive indeed. Connected with an alcohol becomes dangerous mixture as both can cause sedation and in high dosages be life threatening. So he may be confused in the morning indeed.
He should consult psychiatrist and discuss this problem.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
