Brief Answer:
Antispasmodic will help

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcaremagic
Greetings of the day
Dear Sir

The cause of pain is likely to be intestinal colic due to gaseous distension of stomach. If there is no associated gross distension of stomach and absence of vomiting then there is no cause for concern.

I would suggest you the following

1. Antacid containing Simethicone (it's anti flatulent agent ) will be helpful

2. Antispasmodic like Drotavarin which is available as over counter medication will be helpful.

3. Antacid like Pantoprozole will help

Do consult your doctor if the symptoms still persist.

Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.

Take care

Thank you, i have no vomitting, appetite ok and stools ok. I had trauma to ribs a number of years ago. Could that be the causation, like a neurological component? I also have sore middle back, any concern?

Brief Answer:
Rib injury not the cause for symptoms

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir

Trauma to rib is unlikely to cause these symptoms
A thorough clinical examination by your Physician will be reassuring. Adequate rest and following the previous advise will also take care of sore back.
