Suggest Remedy For Chronic Cough In A Person With Hypertension

Question: I have had a chronic cough for the past 4 yrs. my Dr. says it is an allergy. I have tried Claritan, Robitussen DM. I am on amlodopine & losartin for blood pressure control. 3 chest films were clear. No night sweats, weight loss.

Sorry about your trouble, please note that Losartan has been associated with angioedema which affects your vocal cords area and causes a persistent cough that cannot be alleviated by the measures you have tried. I would talk to your doctor and stop this medication, you should have relief in 2-3 days of stopping the medication. Good luck and take care.
