Hi there, I have been battling with the fatigue for the last year, my doctor ran bloods all were normal including thyroid, she suggested wait it out, and see, but I'm feeling worse. I'm not stressed, well I have four children but it's all everyday stresses nothing out of the ordinary. I sleep very well, apart from the night sweats of late, which began since December, my periods are normal. I'm not on any meds,

I have tried multi vitamins. And iron supplements.i would say that it has creeped up gradually getting progressively worse, initially the tiredness was manageable, but now I have to lie down in the middle of the day, sometimes in the morning when I get up first I feel dizzy, my blood pressure is about 70/104, during the day, I have never had it checked early morning, after lying down all night. I always had a great appetite, but since December I'm not hungry, I do eat my breakfast and graze a kittle throughout the day, and have lunch, but I just cannot eat my dinner, a few bites and I feel full, it's almost like my stomach cannot take food in the evening.i have lost about 10lbs, in the last two months, though my abdomen still feels puffy despite the weight loss, it's more noticeable off my shoulders, face, arms and legs, I'm not suffering from constipation I go most days.

Brief Answer:
Your issues don't look very serious, can be treated,

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writitng back in such detail,

Your problem is mainly revolving around fatigue and i know it must be a big concern , how you are losing your energy gradually,

POSSIBLE CAUSES:

1) Viral infection:

Viral infection can be one cause of it, these vague symptoms occur in infections like hepatitis etc, I would encourage you to get your hepatitis B and C tested.

2) Autoimmune:

Though they usually present with body aches and mild fevers but sometimes it also present with lethargy.

3) Gut issues:

Your stomach and gut are not doing fine you actually need a prokinetic and a PPI, discuss it with your doctor, prokinetic will relieve your heaviness in stomach and things will get better with time, this will make your appetite better and you will start feeling better with time. Not digesting the food well is a big cause of loss of energy.

4) Calcium , vitamin D and other electrolytes:

Imbalance in them due to low intake or problem in gut can cause fatigue just try drinking oral electrolyte replenishment drink and calcium vit d pills once daily for a week hope it helps.

SUGGESTIONS:

Don't panic meet your GP again and ask for more investigations what are required and again get the old investigations done then compare them with old ones.

I would suggest my patients to use metoclopramide and Omerpazole for better help in stomach issues, this will relieve you and also make energy absorption better.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!
