Question: Hi, my name is XXXXXXX I am 60 years old with no insurance yet and I have an issue with my ear.
My left ear through the summer months flaky white earwax would come out. Never thought wrong of that... but since November, my left ear gets clogged. Sometimes it hurts due to the pressure. I began to flush it out with Debrox... At first, the wax came in black chunks but now, the clogs still happening about every other day... the chunks or small bits of wax that come out are white or yellowish but now at times, it is sometimes clear or sometimes an orangie liquid.
At night, there are times I hear a squealing and sometimes it keeps me awake with a popping sound.
Why won't this ear clear up.

Brief Answer:
Seems to be ear drum infection.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns that you are having yellow fluid with flakes in ear.

Based on your clinical details, it appears to be ear drum infection (acute suppurative otitis media) with perforation (popping sound).

Ear drum infection do occur with fluids, can colgg the ear canal.

I suggest you to to consult ent surgeon and get detailed ent examination and otoscopy (status of ear drum). Depending on the examination reports further treatment is required accordingly.

Mean time, do not flush with any liquid, avoid self cleaning, stop consuming freezer products (curd/ice creams), plug them (ears) with dry cotton (during bath).

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.
