Brief Answer:
Re initiate breast feeding:It will solve the problem

Detailed Answer:
Dear Mr XXXX

Rest of the things are okay including the weight gain. Premature introduction of formula feeds can cause constipation, vomiting due to feed allergy .

I would suggest you the following

1. Once again initiate giving breast feeding : Adequately treated breast abscess is not a contraindication for stopping breast feeding

2. You can start with capsules which increase milk output

3. See a Pediatrician for assessment to rule out coexisting anal fissure which could be cause of constipation.

4. I would not recommend any formula feeds to be given irrespective of whether breast milk is adequate or no. There are ways to increase breast milk. Reinitiation of breast milk would solve majority of problems.

5. Proper burping of baby

Do get back to me if you need any further information or assistance.

Take care
