Question : I am not sure but I think the cotton end of a qtip came off in my ear. I know I shouldn't have used qtip but what's done id done.

You are not the first person to put a Qtip in the ear so don't feel bad about it!
If it is not hurting you, it is ok to leave it in tonight and have it removed tomorrow morning.
It is important for the nurse who looks in your ear to have some know how about how to do so. He or she needs to make sure they are not pushing the cotton further into your ear canal when putting the otoscope into the ear.
The nurse can then pull the cotton out with medical "pick-ups"/tweezers, very carefully so that it does not scratch or poke your ear canal or ear drum.
He or she should then view the ear canal and make sure that all of the cotton is removed.
If you are not sure about the knowledge or skill of the nurse then you can go to an urgent care clinic or your doctor tomorrow instead.
