Brief Answer:
She is sick and requires detailed evaluation to confirm the diagnosis

Detailed Answer:
Hi xxxxxxxxxxxx,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. The cyst in the right lobe of liver is small if it is 6 x 8 mm. Such a small cyst cannot be characterized on its nature. Cysts are usually thin walled harmless fluid containing structures which are benign in nature and grow slowly. Another ultrasound can be done in 3 to 6 months to know if the cyst has grown in size and if it is alarming. May I know her symptom profile - the reason why she consulted the emergency doctor and any other tests which were performed?

2. The mild fatty liver can be expected in Cushings syndrome. The liver and spleen are significantly enlarged and blood work and detailed clinical examination is important to know the cause of the enlargement of liver and spleen.

3. Liver and spleen are abdominal organs which can get enlarged in many conditions including infections and blood related diseases. She is sick and requires detailed evaluation to confirm the diagnosis followed by the required treatment.

Hope your query is answered.

My daughter went to emerge after missing her period for five months and she had throwing up and diahrea and abdominal pain. She seemed to be always sick. She is obese too. Gained a lot of weight in a short period. She has psoriasis inverted and scalp, depression, asthma and allergies. So she used topical and inhaled steroids. I want to help her.

Brief Answer:
At the moment she might have stomach or liver infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi xxxxxxxxxxx,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

1. At the moment the vomiting and diarrhea need to be evaluated in detail with the probability of a stomach or liver infection. This can be done at your family doctor's clinic and that is why the emergency doctor has asked you to get help from the family doctor.

2. The missing of periods and weight gain, cushings symdrome require a consultation with the endocrinologist and this can be done once she recovers form the stomach infection.

3. The psoriasis, depression, asthma and allergies issues likewise need to be addressed with the respective doctors and an attempt should be made to maintain her health on minimum medicines. It will help to reduce steroid use as and when required without compromising her health.

Hope your query is answered.
