Question: I have just turned 62 at age 42 had a full hysterectomy and had my gallbladder removed. Just in the last two
day I have a rather large cist that is right next to my vagina. I'm literally sitting on it. My left groan feels swollen and tendure. Do I have a bladder infection or what?

Brief Answer:
Bartholin`s gland infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Can you please attach a photo of it so I can give more precise answer?

A cyst right next to the vagina is most likely an abscess caused by an infection of vaginal gland called Bartholin`s glands. This infection has appeared due to this gland obstruction. This has nothing to do with bladder infection. Such infection is a bacterial.
The pain and swelling is caused by pus collection.
I suggest you to consult gynecologist with this issue. The cyst should be incised and drained. Antibiotics might be necessary.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
