Question : Hi my 2 year old fell from down a ladder at a tree house. She had a bump to the right side of her head around where the plates join I also noticed a dent which the gp dismissed. Still not happy I took her to another gp who did all the tests and said her head was fine. But I can still feel a dent there and although she is her usual self and still do not feel comfortable with this dent. What do you do when 2 drs have said her head is fine but I am not convinced. She has not had any scans

I am so sorry to hear about this fall and the difficulty getting convinced that all is okay. Without even looking further, your child is certainly okay. There is no point in failing to be assured and reassured by two independent reviews from your physician.. The skull of infants is somewhat soft and malleable when subjected to great forces and that explains why there is a small dent. It would disappear without need for any further medical attention.
