Question : I have been taking cymbalta (60mg) for more than a month to help with depression. I came to the conclussion that cymbalta makes me more deprressed, I cannot take Paxil that used to elp me because i Had cancer and I am taking tamoxifen. Paxil interferes with the effects of tamoxifen.
I was reading about other serotonin inhibitors and would like to sweetch to one of them. Do I need to reduce the amount of Cymbalta r I could expedite the process?

Hi! Yes, you have read it right, by mentioning not to use paxil with tamoxifen, but you missed out the fact that paxil aka paroxetine also belongs to the same group called selective serotinin receptor inhibitors, which you are considering to switch onto. So the answer is no. You shouldn't switch onto that.

Since, the depression isn't under control so you can discuss using citalopram or venlaxafin.
