Question: Hi,
I got diarrhea recently and during that time suddenly I felt like a leakage from my anus. So I checked my inner but found nothing. I tried to check with a tissue paper and found liquid marks on the tissue. Is it common during diarrhea or should I consult a specialist for treatment

Brief Answer:
Anal Leakage with Diarrhea/ Under Evaluation

Detailed Answer:
Brief Ans-Anal Leakage with Diarrhea/ Under Evaluation

Hi,Dear,Thanks for your query to HCM.
I read your query in full details and understood your health concern.
Based on the facts of your query,It does happen in acute diarrheas.
This is due to the acute infection/ inflammation of the rectal mucosa and anal ring area, which causes Acute Proctitis.
Due to this acute proctitis, and hyperactive intestines and lower bowels, anal leakage occurs-as rectal control is over sensitive and cant differentiate the controlled release of gase and the diarrheal fluid. This leads to Anal Seepage/ Leakage.
Don't worry -this is not Feacal Incontinence or major problem.
It is temporary phenomenon and would relieve,as and when the diarrhea gets controlled with medicines.

Suggested Remedy-

Bland diet with Plenty of Liquids with Electrolytes powder- to recoup fluid losses x strictly for 2-3 days time
Kao-Pect Liquid- 3 x times per day for 3 -5 days time
Tab Meftal Spas 1 x 3 times per day
Tab loperamide-1 x 3 times per day.
Tab Norflox-400 mg 1x 2 times per day x 5 days
Banana Milk Shake x 2 times per day.
Gradually increase semi-solid diet over 3-5 days time.

Hope this would recover your health problem in 2 days time.

Welcome for any further query in this regard.

Wishing you fast recovery.
Good Day!!
