Question : Greetings Dr.,
I have had problems breathing out of one nostril or the other when not engaged in any form of physical activity. When engaged in a rigorous physical activity both nostrils seem to work fine. When lying down the closed nostril seems to always shift to the side closest to the bed. I have not been diagnosed with any allergy and have a past working with spraying and handling agrochemicals.

Brief Answer:
Possibility of internal nose pathology is more.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Your nasal problem is associated with position.
So possibility of DNS or nasal polyp is more in your case.
So better to consult ENT doctor and get done x ray of paranasal sinuses and endoscopic examination of nose to rule out internal nose pathology.
Possibility of allergic disease is less likely in your case.
So better to consult ENT doctor and discuss all these.
Hope I have solved your query.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
