Question: Hi, i had XXXXXXX face lift and neck lift. I now have a crooked smile on the right hand side. I am at day 19 of my recovery. There is absolutely no movement of my lip on the right side of my mouth whatsoever. I am really distressed.

I have read that this may fix itself, but what if it doesn't. What can be done if the damage is permanent and how can i know if it is temporary or permanent.

Real sorry to bother you but im stressing out.

Brief Answer:
The body will try to fix itself.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

Although there is reasonable chance for it to fix itself. However, there are chances that it does not and the damage is actually permanent. There is no way to discern if it is transient or permanent. All you need to do is to wait and watch. If the body can rewire and fix it, you will be back to normal, but if not, all you can do is to live with it.

I understand the cause of your stress but there is not much that can be done at this point. However, there are certain simple exercises that you need
