Possible adrenal gland tumor-adenoma?Need MRI scan
Detailed Answer:
Hello, Madam.
I understand your concerns.
I have gone through your query in detail.
Many of your symptoms are directly related to masculinizing effects of excessive androgen.
Your symptoms will not resolve with an addition of antidepressants, as they are unrelated to depression.
With normal ovarian tests and elevated DHEA(in excess of 7mcg/ml), the possibility of an adrenal tumor is high. This has to be a prime concern in further evaluation.
The long duration of symptoms can be due a benign neoplasm of the adrenal gland.
For this, I advise you to get an MRI scan of the abdomen. This can reasonably distinguish between a benign and a malignant adrenal tumor.
Further management whether medical or surgical or both is based on the test results.
Additionally, I advise you to get a complete thyroid check.
The remaining prescribed drugs can be taken as usual.
Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.
