Vey unlikely to be a melanoma!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
Chances are very high that this is unlikely to be a melanoma. I have reviewed the attached images and the size and recent discovery are nit suggestive of a melanoma. Melanomas start as mole and grow over several years marked by chafes in color, size and blood supply which are clearly absent in this case. It would be the most unlikely thing to be retained as a possible diagnosis.
Your worries are understandable but you would be very much unlikely to have this for the above mentioned reasons. My advice is that you monitor only and of course you doctor will confirm my initial thoughts and further put your mind at ease.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
