Suggest Remedy For Dizziness And Pressure In Head

Question: Wednesday of this week I began to experience pressure in the center of my head. It went away by Thursday but was replaced with dizziness. Come Friday I had an odd sensation on the left side of my face and more dizziness. I went to the ER. They asked about my history. The only significant event was I was in a car accident on 9/24. They took some CT scans with contrast looking for damage to the blood vessels in my neck, that came back negative. By the time I left the ER I felt normal so they let me go and told me to follow up with my PCP. Yesterday the head pressure was back again for the majority of the day. I got a full nights sleep and today the head pressure is gone but I feel exhausted, and very weak, especially on my left side. I'm a 27 year old female, mother of a 2 year old. I have a history of anxiety.

Primary headache likely to be migraine or tension type headache

Detailed Answer:
Hello xxxxxx,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Most common cause of headache in young age is primary in nature like migraine or tension type headache.
Migraine headache is unilateral or bilateral, throbbing nature, associated with nausea, vomiting, photophobia, photophobia, dizziness. Aggravating with stress, fasting, exertion decreased sleep or some specific food stuffs like chocolate , coffee.
Relieves on taking medications or rest.
The tension type headache is holocranial, bursting with aggravation on stress.
In case you have any features as described above you can communicate.
FOR MIGRAINE you need to get pain killer for episodes and prophylaxis if it is continuous and repeated.
My advice in such patient at this stage will be to take pain killers(paracetamol or aceclofenac or naproxen) for 2-3 days and then consult a neurologist if symptoms occurs again or not responds.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
