Question: Why do I get light headed when I hold my breath?

Becuase your brain receives less oxygenated blood than it should..

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to HCM. Please note that when you do that, you are essentially not getting enough oxygenated blood to your brain and that is the response is that you get lightheaded and would pass out if you continued to hold your breath. Good luck and I hope this helps.
