I think nexium was appropriate. It might however be important to know the dosage of the drug you were taking. Increasing the dosage might help.
However, lifrestyle changes remain important here. It might be important to avoid late meals, stressful situations as much as possible , gas producing foods as much as you can like caffeine and spicy foods. If you have identified some foods or situations that aggravate the pain you might have to avoid them . a change in the job or environment can at times aggravate such pains.
If you have not been into any stress or change in job or environment, an increase in the dosage of the drug could be helpful for a start.
