I dont know what to do you I consult my electrophysiologist again?

Reassurance

Detailed Answer:
Greetings! Thank you for your question and welcome to HCM. I carefully read your query.

I will take the approach of explaining this phenomenon. an extrasystole (ectopic heart beat) is an electrical impulse firing from a random part of the heart muscle, and not from the sinus node - its natural pacemaker. This heart beat is followed by a brief pause, and sinus node "takes over" by firing a more forceful heart beat. This is accompanied with a thump on chest, with a sensation that "my heart is coming out of my throat". It is normal to feel a certain amount of anxiety and "freaking out" after this happens. It can happen to anybody and, to be honest, I myself sense them sometimes. They can be triggered after a vigorous physical activity, psychological stress and anxiety, and various physiological hormonal level changes that happen to the human organism during a day, after consuming caffeine-containing beverages, tobacco, alcohol etc.

Now, if there were something wrong with the heart electrical abd conduction system in a 25-year old, a simple track of EKG would depict the problem, with highest probability. If there would be another problem generating this phenomenon, it would be seen on echocardiogram or on the cardiac stress test. Therefore, my opinion is that there is nothing to worry about and you should continue your healthy, physically active lifestyle, with reduction of caffeine, tobacco and alcohol (if you consume them). Also, the slow heart rate registered in the 24-hour monitor is probably due to physiological changes I described above.

If this becomes a very worrisome event that produces excessive amount of psychological stress or anxiety, which affects your quality of life, study or work, I would recommend you to be started on a short course of low-dosage sedatives, but only after consulting a clinical psychologist.

I hope I was helpful and thorough with mya answer. I am happy to help, if you have further question. Please rate my answer, if you do not.

My best regards,
Dr. Meriton
