Brief Answer:
More details required, keep yourself occupied with activities

Detailed Answer:
Hello, greetings!
Thank for posting in hcm. Your query states that you are overthinking things. I would like to know some more details regarding your problem.

-Are you thinking about something specific or are your thoughts vague?
-Have you suffered any stress/ mental trauma in the recent past?
-Since how long have you been facing this issue?
-Have you met a psychiatrist earlier regarding this?

I would also suggest you to follow this advice:-
1. Keep your mind occupied. Try to indulge in physical activities, sports, reading or any other means of entertainment rather than staying idle.
2. Talk to your family and loved ones about the issues you worry about. They maybe able to help you reach to a conclusion.
3. If you are overthinking things to the extent that it is hampering your personal/professional life, this matter needs to be discussed with a psychiatrist.

There are anti-anxiety drugs which can help you. These can be obtained after a discussion with your psychiatrist.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have any query, please feel free to ask.

Brief Answer:
visit psychiatrist, counselling needed

Detailed Answer:
Hello, XXXXXXX
Sorry for the late reply. I feel that this problem needs to be tackled with caution. You should start with a few sessions of counselling. This will help you dig into your main issue and help find the root of the problem. Once we get a clear picture, it will be easier to find a permanent solution with psychoanalytic methods. Medicines can be taken if this problem is hampering your daily life.

I recommend that you again consult a psychiatrist and undergo counselling. Based on the severity of your problem, course of treatment will be decided after that.
