Suggest Remedy For Extreme Tiredness And Confusion

Question : My husband is extremely tired all the time. When he is especially tired he becomes disoriented, confused almost like he has dementia. He has rheumatoid arthritis but is not on any biological medication. The confusion and almost dementia happens at anytime of the day. When he isn't tired he's completely normal. He's 69 and does take pain meds but it's been the same prescription for 2-3 yrs and this tiredness and confusion has been bad for the last four mts. He's been feeling tired for awhile but this has gotten bad in the last few mts. His bloodwork is fine including his thyroid. Any advice?

Hi,

I am sorry for the current situation your husband is in.

You are saying that hes feels tired all the time while his blood work resulted all normal. Can you please upload his lab reports so I can have a look my self?

I need to know if the liver/kidney function tests were also carried out and related results. I also want to know about his blood sugar and electrolytes levels.

2. I advise to measure his blood sugar level and blood pressure at the moment when he becomes confused and disoriented, record the results in order to report them to his doctor (can also give the results to me for evaluation).

3. A complete heart check up is also recommended to exclude cardio-vascular problems through: ECG; holter monitoring, echocardiogram.

4. After evaluating all his metabolic background, and if nothing will be found, then, a complete neurological examination should be carried out for final diagnosis.
