Question : Hello Dr. XXXXXXX

My question is I recently had miscarriage, I was not aware that I was pregnant since I have PCOD issue my menses are irregular, so when dates were passed I thought its normal, but then on 10th May I had periods with cramps and back pain on 13th may, pain was severe and after visiting doctor they hospitalised me for a night and gave 3 injections of tramadol and draffin between 10pm-3am and by 5am I was discharged, after coming home when I went to washroom, I experienced big solid lump discharge through vagina. Since then I was having very severe bleeding which continued till 20th May, followed by dizziness, unconsciousness, bp low, etc. I was continuously travelling so I couldn't see doctor till 29th May. On 29th May, after visiting Dr. I was again hospitalized and after all tests they said that I had miscarriage and typhoid. after 3 days I was discharged from hospital and was prescribed medicines for 15days for typhoid ( Pantop 40 | Recharje Plus | Drego D| Absolut| Ceftas| Ranidom O|Carnimac plus) while gynaec. suggested Orofer XT for 30days.

After discharge I was on complete rest for 15days and have started working on computers from home. Since last 15days I am observing that stool is greenish black with tar like spots and also I am feeling bit suffocation after having food in night, not good sleep, weakness, fatigue. Is all normal or there is something wrong....???

I request your open and detail explanation to all this circumstances as its leading a lot of depression to me. I was told by Dr. that I can't be pregnant without help of medicines but then I was pregnant without any medication and again they are asking me to take medicines for conceiving I am not comfortable and even not ready for a baby at this time. what should I do ?? whether my decision of not having medicines for conceiving is right ??

Thank you in advance.

Brief Answer:
Wait for 3-6 months for conception

Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
I understand your anxiety related to the issue.
The altered colored stool and discomfort are most likely associated with typhoid and are seen in recovery phase so will be relieved soon.
As regards as conception is concerned you should at least wait for 3-6 months before trying for baby.
All these vitamins for increased chances of conception are simple and beneficial drugs and you can start them anytime whenever you want to take the responsibility.
Right now take care of following simple but effective measures -
- avoid excessive tea/coffee intake
- decrease fried and spicy foodstuff intake
- take loads of water
- drink cold milk or take curd in small but frequent quantity
- take salads along with all the meals
- take 2 glasses of lukewarm water daily after you wake up to help in softening of the stools
