Suggest Remedy For Fatigue, Brain Fog, Nausea And Headache While Suffering From Hashimoto's Thyroiditis

I was recently diagnosed with Hashimoto's (I have been undergoing treatment for hypothyroidism for almost 2 years now). I am on 120 mg armour thyroid 1x/day, 5 mcg of cytomel 2x/day, and self administered vit B shot 1cc 1x/wk. Unfortunately my fatigue and brain fog have not improved, and recently my nausea and headaches have increased. I just went in to the dr for a follow-up and they sent me for xrays on a hard lump on my left collar bone. Once the dr felt my lump she looked very concerned and would not say whether or not it was something to be worried about. They rushed my xrays so I should get those in less than 48 hrs, but I was hoping on some insight into what it could be?
You need Ultrasound with FNAC and other relevant tests
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
Hashimoto's is an autoimmune disease wherein the body stops recognizing a particular part of the body or an organ not be its own part hence starts producing antibodies against it and the fight between this and the organ acting as an antigen one gets the symptoms like you have.
The only answer in such cases is oral steroid to suppress such a problem.
What you are taking is the symptomatic treatment of the deficiency you have got due to such a reaction.
You have noted that your fatigue and brain brain fog have not improved and recently your nausea and headaches have increased.
The hard lump above the collar bone on left side needs ultrasonography and guided FNAC (fine needle aspiration cytology) which only can give a probable diagnosis.
I think your should ask for this.
X-rays would not be that helpful.
Please insist for the investigations I asked for.
Yes hard lump is a suspicious thing and needs careful evaluation.
I hope this answer helps you, please feel free to ask for further queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
